One OpenRouter API key for Lab chat. Install the OpenRouter marketplace addon, then open API Integration → OpenRouter.
Requires: Marketplace addon openrouter installed under extensions/OpenRouter/.
The addon registers an OpenAI-compatible provider:
| Base URL | https://openrouter.ai/api/v1 |
| Auth | Authorization: Bearer |
| Chat | POST /chat/completions |
| Env fallback | OPENROUTER_API_KEY |
Dashboard keys override the env fallback. Optional attribution headers are HTTP-Referer (app URL) and X-OpenRouter-Title (app name).
OpenRouter puts usage on every response, including the last streaming chunk. usage: { include: true } and stream_options.include_usage are ignored by OpenRouter.
| Field | Krikkit credit input |
|---|---|
prompt_tokens | Input total (includes cache read and cache write) |
completion_tokens | Output |
prompt_tokens_details.cached_tokens | Cache read |
prompt_tokens_details.cache_write_tokens | Cache write |
cost | OpenRouter’s own charge; stored on the raw usage blob, not used as Krikkit credits |
Krikkit credits stay token-weighted from the addon’s per-million prices.
DeepSeek routes (deepseek/…) disable thinking when Lab forces a tool. Other vendors on the same key do not receive that field.
